India Desjardins is a French-Canadian writer who lives in Montreal. Her nine-book series Le Journal d’Aurélie Laflamme has been adapted for the big screen and sold more than 2 million copies in the francophone space. In Germany, the series has reached more than 85 000 readers. Her story Le Noël de Marguerite (Marguerite’s Christmas), illustrated by Pascal Blanchet, won the prestigious Bologna Ragazzi Fiction Prize. She also published two volumes of the comic La Célibataire, a graphic novel Une histoire de cancer qui finit bien (A story about cancer with a happy ending), and two adult novels. She is inspired to write about characters who find strength in their vulnerability.
