Novelist, Short Story Writer and Essayist - Ontario

At age 95, Marguerite Andersen, novelist, short story writer and essayist, is the dean of Franco-Ontarian literature. She has published some 15 literary works, a number of which have won awards. Her work, striking in its formal modernity and its avowed feminism, begins with the fictionalization of an immigration journey that led her from her native Germany to other European countries, to Africa and to America. She now lives in Toronto.

Already translated into English, her novel La mauvaise mère (The Bad Mother) will be published in German by Secession Verlag in 2020.
