Poet and Essayist
An Acadian poet and essayist born in New Brunswick, Serge Patrice Thibodeau is the author of some 20 books published since 1990. Among other honours, he received the Governor General’s Literary Award in 1996 and 2007 in the category of French-language poetry. He was appointed a member of the Order of Canada for his contribution to Acadian literature as a poet and publisher, as well as Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres de la République française.
