Summary
In the section ARCHIVE OF THE PRESENT, the Short Film Festival Hamburg looks at film archives and their systems of thought. The Canadian distributors CFMDC and Vtape provide insight into the highlights of their film collections. They witness critical perspectives of Canadian filmmakers and strengthen the accessibility and visibility of historically underrepresented narratives. One focus is on the work of filmmaker and mixed-media avant-garde artist Joyce Wieland.
