Summary
Indigenous culture and large and urban centers, monarchy and liberalism – the dream of freedom, but also these contradictions, have shaped Canada distinctly. As part of the series Dok.Guest, the festival presents seven documentaries from Canada, which make the tensions, but also the unique dynamics of this young nation tangible. The VR Pop-Up Cinema provides new documentary experiences “made in Canada”, while a Canadian delegation will participate in the industry platform DOK.forum

The Canada Focus at DOK.fest München is part of the culture program related to Canada’s Guest of Honour presentation at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2021 and is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Canada.
