Filmfest Hamburg: two new films from Québec

Summary

Two new Quebec films are part of the selection of the 29th Hamburg Film Festival: “Krawall” (original title: Vacarme) by Frederick Neegan Trudel is presented in the children/youth section. The film is about 13-year-old Emily, who is committed to a DPJ (Youth protection Services) group home, but finds hope during guitar lessons. “The Drunken Birds” by Ivan Grbovic (Kaleidoskop section) follows Willy as he makes his way from Mexico to Québec to find his love.
