Canadian Poetry / Poésie du Québec – VERSschmuggel / reVERSible
Due to COVID-19, Canada Guest of Honour events and activities listed on this website may be cancelled or postponed. The event calendar will be updated to the best of our ability, however we recommend that you click on the "For more information" link of the respective event listing for the latest updates.
For one week, 18 authors from Canada, Quebec and German-speaking countries will translate each other’s poems into new versions that are both faithful and original. As part of the overnight VERSschmuggel/ reVERSible event, the results of these efforts will be presented to the public.
This Canada FBM2020 project is part of the cultural program related to Canada’s Guest of Honour presence at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2020. It is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Canada with additional support from the Government of Québec.
