As part of the Französische Woche (French Week), the Heidelberg Theater presents a staged reading of three Québec plays: “Zeit des Lebens” by Evelyne de la Chenelière, “Le brasier” by David Paquet and “Mes enfants n’ont pas peur du noir” by Jean-Denis Beaudoin. Translators Gerda Poschmann-Reichenau and Mira Lina Simon as well as translator Frank Weigand will be present for a discussion. The cities of Quebec City and Heidelberg are part of the UNESCO-Cities of Literature network.


Presented by the Theater and Orchester Heidelberg as part of the Französische Woche of the Deutsch-Französischer Kulturkreis e.V. in cooperation with the Centre des auteurs dramatiques in Montréal.

This project is part of the culture program related to Canada’s Guest of Honour presence at the Frankfurt Book Fair. It is supported by the Quebec Government (Antenne du Québec à Berlin, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec).
